BBQ Chicken

 

Flavorful and juicy, BBQ chicken can be served as a main dish with a side of vegetables and grains and in a variety of ways. For the entire family, serve sliced chicken on a salad, or use as a protein source in sandwiches or wraps. Serve BTB BBQ sauce on the side for extra dipping!

Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or around 375°F.

  2. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper. Rub the mixture all over the chicken breasts.

  3. Place the chicken on the grill and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.

  4. Once the chicken is cooked, brush the BBQ sauce on both sides.

  5. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes on each side, until the sauce is caramelized and the chicken is fully cooked.

  6. Remove from the grill and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

  7. Serve hot with you and your child's favorite sides, like roasted vegetables, grilled corn or baked beans. Serve BBQ sauce on the side as a dip.

Always cut into age appropriate pieces for your child prior to serving.
