Cheesy Gnocchi Bake

Tomato Sauce Gnocchi Bake Toddler and Kids Meal Recipe Ideas

A great alternative to pasta and red sauce, this delicious and comforting dish is perfect for a cozy dinner at home. The combination of pillowy gnocchi, tomato sauce, and gooey melted cheese is hard for any kid to resist. 

This bake can be served as a meal along side fruits and vegetables.  Or alternatively as a side dish with grilled chicken or fish.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 pound (8 oz) of gnocchi
  • 1 cup BTB Tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup of grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Cook the gnocchi according to package instructions until it's al dente. Drain and set aside.

  3. In a large bowl, mix the tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

  4. Add the cooked gnocchi to the bowl and toss until it's evenly coated with the sauce and cheese mixture.

  5. Transfer the gnocchi mixture to an oven-safe baking dish.

  6. Bake the gnocchi for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  7. Remove the baking dish from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

  8. Optional: garnish with fresh basil leaves.

Always cut into age appropriate pieces for your child prior to serving.
